Sustainability
Low-carbon by geography
Sapphire growth is energy-intensive — which is exactly why where you make it matters.
Latvia’s green grid
Production runs on Latvian electricity, among the highest renewable shares in Europe — hydropower, wind and biomass.
Low-carbon feedstock
Aluminium oxide sourced from suppliers with verified low or zero CO₂ footprint.
EU-local production
Growth, processing and quality control on a single site. Short, transparent supply chain.

Common questions
What is the maximum diameter you can produce?
We grow boules of 100+ kg and supply raw cylinders up to 300 mm in diameter, or finished blanks to your dimensions.
What product forms do you supply?
Cylinders, round blanks, rectangular blanks, stepped windows and custom prisms — raw or fully finished.
What dimensional tolerances can you hold?
Down to 10 µm for special orders. Tell us your drawing and we will confirm what is achievable.
Do you process customer-supplied sapphire?
Yes. We offer custom processing of customer-supplied material, including coring, grinding, lapping and shaping.
What crystalline orientations are available?
C-plane, A-plane, M-plane and R-plane, with plane accuracy of ±0.01°.
Is Falcon Lab a true EU manufacturer?
Yes. Crystal growth, processing and quality control all take place at our site in Ventspils, Latvia, with no offshored steps.
What lead times can I expect?
Lead times depend on size, grade and finish. Send us your specification and we will reply within one business day with a lead time estimate.
